Per Hannevold is Principal Bassoonist of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra since 1979, a professor at the Grieg Academy, a member of the Bergen Woodwind Quintet, the principal bassoon of the Aspen Festival Orchestra, and a faculty member of the Aspen Music Festival and School. While studying in Boston during the 1960’s, John Miller formed the “Bubonic Bassoon Quartet" and made the first recording of the Hummel Bassoon Concerto. He has been the principal bassoonist of the Minnesota Orchestra for 44 years. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota and presented master classes throughout the world. Keith Bowen, owner of the eponymous Bassoon Workshop, has an extensive background in bassoon repair and manufacturing technology. He is also an active performer in the Seattle area.
